Baird Capital Partners Asia targets private, entrepreneur-owned companies with proven management teams and track records of high growth and profitability. We have four basic investment criteria:
- China Opportunity: The target company must have both substantial existing operations and a large, future growth opportunity in China. As long as the company meets those two criteria, it can be domiciled or headquartered in any country where Baird has an on-the- ground resource to monitor the investment.
- Baird Sector: The target company must be in one of our three core industry sectors which are manufacturing, business services or healthcare. We focus on these core sectors because this is where we believe we have a competitive advantage. These three sectors are where Baird Private Equity has deep domain expertise and investment and operating relationships globally.
- Value Add: We must be able to add operational and strategic value to the target company post-close.
- Growth and Size: Companies will typically have $15 million of revenue, $3 million of EBITDA and strong historical growth. We target equity investment sizes between $8 million and $15 million.
